High schoolers take hospitality field trip to DoubleTree by Hilton
Cheryl Chamberlain's travel and tourism class at Grand Island High School had the opportunity to visit and tour the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Niagara Falls on March 17 as part of their lodging/food and beverage unit.
Scott Swagler, DoubleTree general manager and also a Grand Island resident, provided the students with explanations of the front and back of the house, event planning, and overall industry standards.
This class is a part of the National Academy Foundation's curriculum and is also endorsed by the NUSTEP program at Niagara University, which enables students to receive three college credits for their participation.
