Proposed Capital Project 2025

Superintendent's Message

Dear Grand Island Community,

As Superintendent of the Grand Island Central School District, I am proud to share an important update regarding our 2025 Proposed Capital Improvement Project—a key step in our continued commitment to create a warm, cool, safe and dry environment for all students.

This proposition reflects months of careful planning, deep analysis of the building conditions survey, and collaboration between district leadership, faculty, and facilities experts. The proposed improvements  aim to address critical infrastructure needs, enhance energy efficiency, support evolving educational programming, and ensure our schools remain welcoming and accessible to all.

The $69.2 million proposed capital projects use N.Y.S. Building Aid. These State revenue sources are specifically earmarked for capital projects.

We are committed to transparency and community engagement throughout this process. In the coming weeks, we will provide more detailed information through a public forum, and district communications. Your input is essential as we move forward together to shape the future of our schools.

Your vote is important and I encourage you to learn more about the scope of the project. The public presentation is Thursday, November 6th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the High School Board of Education Room. Voting will take place Wednesday, December 10th, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM in the Grand Island High School foyer.

Sincerely,
Dr. Brian Graham
Superintendent of Schools
