Grand Island High School is a comprehensive secondary institution with more than 1,000 students, 94 faculty members, 23 support staff, and three administrators. Our curricular program is geared toward core, elective, and Advanced Placement. A comprehensive interscholastic athletic program through the Niagara Frontier League and 30 clubs and organizations are available to students.
Grand Island High School students taking Regents examinations scored comparably or exceeded scores earned by students in similar schools. The percentage of students scoring "with distinction" surpassed those in similar schools. Over 85% of our graduates attend post-secondary institutions while over 90% of our graduates receive Regents diplomas.
School spirit is that invisible something that makes a student body known for its loyalty, its enthusiasm, and its active participation in the total school program.
