Viking Voyage

Viking Voyage is a summer transition program designed to help students entering grades 4–6 build confidence, strengthen social-emotional skills, and prepare for a successful start to middle school.

Now in its second year, the program was created to bridge the gap between the end of the school year and the transition to middle school. Viking Voyage also provides students from Huth Road Elementary and Kaegebein Elementary with the opportunity to meet one another, develop friendships, and build connections before beginning their middle school journey.

Led by district school counselors and a school psychologist, students participate in interactive lessons, hands-on activities, games, and the creation of a personalized Coping Skills Toolbox. Throughout the program, students practice self-regulation strategies, strengthen emotional awareness and communication skills, develop resilience, and foster a positive growth mindset in a fun and supportive environment.
