Learning Loss Grant Requirement

LEAs must reserve at least 20% of their allocation to address learning loss through the implementation of evidence-based interventions, such as summer learning or summer enrichment, extended day, comprehensive afterschool programs, or extended school year programs, and ensure that such interventions respond to studentsโ€™ academic, social, and emotional needs and address the disproportionate impact of the coronavirus on economically disadvantaged students, children with disabilities, English learners, racial and ethnic minorities, migrant students, students experiencing homelessness, and children and youth in foster care.

Grand Island Central School District Learning Loss Allocation is $528,091. To date, the District has expensed $675,230 directly in the area of learning loss. Each year we will continue to review ways to address learning loss needs as they are identified.

Public Comment:

The District is seeking public comments related to the anticipated use of the American Rescue Plan funding allocated to our school district.ย These planned expenditures align with the requirements and mandates for this funding and the needs of our students, instructional programs and technological equipment.
