The District has a high rate of participation in a well-rounded program made up of both team and individual sports.  As students move from level to level, the process of selection will become more competitive.  

Grand Island offers 58 teams in 29 different sports (including varsity, junior varsity and modified programs).  Our teams and students compete in the Niagara Frontier League, Section VI and New York State.  A very high percentage of our teams have been recognized for their team grade point averages by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.

All students must register for each season by accessing Final Forms.  A current sports physical is required each season. Parents and students must complete seasonal health updates in order to participate in each season.  This process is mandated by the State of New York.  Our Athletic Code of Conduct notes the standards that we expect our students to reach and surpass.
