Accessibility Notice

The Grand Island Central School District is committed to complying with the provisions of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 with regards to its website. The goal is to provide students, parents, and members of the community with disabilities access to independently acquire the same information and enjoy the same benefits and services as those individuals without disabilities.

Transition toward Website Accessibility

The Grand Island Central School District is working to transition its website and web-based informational resources to comply with the standards of the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA. It is our goal to meet these criteria by Jan. 1, 2019. These standards will make web navigation easier for people with visual impairment, colorblindness, auditory, motor and cognitive disabilities, as well as for users without disabilities.

Alternative Formats

The Grand Island Central School District is not always able to provide alternate text or HTML versions for all of the documents that appear on the website in Portable Document Format (pdf). We will, upon request, make every reasonable effort to provide any web document or information in an alternate format accessible to a person with a disability.
