  • The Outdoors Experience
    Exploring inside Eco Island is only part of the whole nature experience.  The outdoors experience provides the other part.  North of the building, there are picnic tables and a large grassy area.  A mowed path leads to the half-acre pond surrounded by a variety of conifer trees.  There is a field, west of the pond, where many eager volunteers planted bare-root seedlings.  A mowed trail, east of the pond, leads through the unfenced portion of the facility.
