Kaegebein PTA is proud to be participating in this year’s Reflections program!
At the PTA, we believe “All children deserve opportunities to explore and be involved in the arts.”
Does your child love art or have a creative flair?
If so, he/she probably would enjoy entering a piece in this year’s Reflections program, a National PTA art program.
Students have the opportunity to use their creative talents and express themselves through their own original works. Have them focus their creativity on this year’s theme and please note the deadline.
This year’s entries should reflect upon and interpret the theme:
“Heroes Around Me”.
All children deserve opportunities to explore and be involved in the arts. The arts play a critical role in students’ success in school and beyond, enhancing their reading and language skills, mathematics skills, thinking skills, social skills, and motivation to learn.
Students who participate in the Reflections Program get an opportunity to explore the arts and culture, develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills and recognize themselves as artists.
Families can support their children’s participation by creating time and space for students to work on their entries, providing encouragement and needed materials and volunteering to support the Reflections Program.
All students are welcome to interpret the theme and explore the arts including students with special needs. We have a Special Artist Division just for those participates.
Categories for entries are: Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts, Film/Video and Choreography/Dance.
