The Big6 is the most widely known and used information and technology literacy model and curriculum. It is a very effective approach to teaching information and technology skills in the classroom and the real world. The six steps of information problem solving are listed in the handout attached below which helps students and staff focus research, solve problems and make decisions. This document has been created to fit the needs of Connor Middle School students and staff and to help guide them on their research journey. The Big6 approach will be implemented in the 2010-2011 school year at all of the buildings in the Grand Island Central School District.
