Parent Requests - Teacher or Principal Composite Effectiveness Scores

  • In accordance with New York Education Law Section 3012-c(10), parents and legal guardians may request the final quality rating and composite effectiveness score for each of the teachers and for the principal of the school building in which your student(s) is assigned for the current school year. The District will also provide you with an oral or written explanation of the composite effectiveness scoring ranges for final quality ratings, and an opportunity to understand such scores in the context of teacher evaluation and student performance.

Please send requests for releasing teacher or principal effectiveness scores to:

    Brian Graham, Ed.D.

    Superintendent of Schools

    Grand Island Central School District

    1100 Ransom Road

    Grand Island, NY  14072

The request form is available for download using the link below. Please mail your request or drop it off at the location designated above; faxed or emailed requests will not be accepted. It is the obligation of the school district to verify all information provide in this request. Upon receipt of this request, a Superintendent's designee will be assigned for further action.

Please be reminded that the law provides that a parent may only obtain the final rating and composite effectiveness score for the teachers and principal to whom their child is assigned for the current school year. Therefore, parents may not receive the composite score for teachers their child was assigned in the prior year or for other teachers in their child's school.
