  •                                    Advanced Placement Macroeconomics

     

    Overview

    The intent of this Advanced Placement (AP) course in Macroeconomics is to give students a thorough understanding of the principles of economics that apply to an economic system as a whole. This course places particular emphasis on the study of national income and price-level determination, and also develops student’s familiarity with economic performance measures, the financial sector, stabilization policies, economic growth, and international economics. In addition, AP Macroeconomics deals with the overall level of output, its rate of growth, banking, money supply, and the U.S. Government's role in the economy through fiscal policy (spending and taxation),  and Monetary Policy.

     

    OBJECTIVES:

    • mastery of economic vocabulary, concepts, principles.
    • successful interpretation and application of data from graphs, charts and diagrams
    • prepare for the AP Macroeconomics Examination  administered on Wednesday May 10, 2018 - 12:00 p.m. 

    FINAL COURSE GRADE:

    • Quarters - 10 weeks worth of course work (20% each).
    • Final grade - May take the form of an in-class Final Exam or a paper (20%).
    NOTE: All assignments, PPT's, notes, etc. will be posted on Google Classroom.
