    THE BOARD OF EDUCATION BUDGET VOTE AND ELECTION

    HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO JUNE 1, 2020 BY NEW YORK STATE

    DUE TO COVID-19

     

     

    Tuesday, May 19, 2020

    8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
    Grand Island High School gymnasium

    For your convenience, reserved parking during the Tuesday, May 19 Budget Vote & Election will be available in two different places: the High School back parking lot closest to door #21 (right across from the main gym entrance) and in the front lot of the High School.
     
    Absentee Ballots are available upon request, please call Jude Kuehne, District Clerk at 773-8801.
     

    Community Perception Survey
    The results of this annual community-based survey will be used to develop and improve the way the district communicates with its various audiences. The Community Perception Survey will open as the date of the budget vote and election gets closer. A link will be provided in this section once it is open.
     
    Board of Education Election 
    Voters will elect two members to the Board of Education for a three-year term, commencing July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2023.

    March 9, 2020 - Budget Input Session 
    April 6, 2020 - Budget Input Session
    April 21, 2020 (Tuesday) - Budget Adoption
    May 11, 2020 - Budget Public Hearing, 7 p.m. (BOE meeting to follow)
     

    Voter Information and Qualifications 
    Voters must be:
     
    1.  A citizen of the United States
    2.  At least 18 years of age
    3.  A resident of the district for at least 30 days prior to vote
