The TIES program (Together Including Every Student) gives students with developmental disabilities (ages 8-21) the opportunity to join extracurricular, community and recreational activities of their choice with support from trained student volunteers. TIES is an amazing opportunity for student volunteers and participants to develop friendships, skills and connections. Volunteers are students in grades 8-12 who receive training and an individual support plan that describes the participant’s needs. Time commitment is based on the volunteer’s schedule. Students can join after-school activities, lunchtime support, stage crew, school dances, drumming circles, sports, community programs, school of religion, scouts, etc. Questions or more information please contact Betsy Foley, TIES Coordinator, 716-479-5407 or email her at rwcjd87@gmail.com
